One of the moderators of the Congress will be Kamola Akilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Art History:
"The International Congress will be a great phenomenon not only for the academic world, but also, in general, for the cultural life not only in Uzbekistan, but, perhaps, across the world. Why? Because this is not only Uzbekistan's application in terms of the uniqueness of its historical and cultural legacy, but also in terms of studying, advertising and promoting this legacy in the modern world community. Because such a project is unique, and at the present stage it has no analogues in any other country.
I think that when this project arose, no one else had the feeling that it would be so full-scale, so branched. And the holding of this international congress in St. Petersburg this year gives grounds for the fact that this project will live on in the future, and, of course, it will have a great resonance on a global scale. My first section is the problems of preserving historical and cultural legacy, as a global problem and Uzbekistan's experience in this regard."
