During the international congress Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan – A Path to a Dialogue Between Nations and Countries in St. Petersburg, the presentation of the next five volumes of books-albums from the series Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections will take place.
The basis of the book-album Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in German Collections from the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections series are the monuments of art of our country, stored in a number of museums, collections and libraries in Germany:
- Berlin State Library,
- Berlin Museum of Islamic Art,
- Ethnological Museum of Berlin,
- Ethnological Linden Museum, Stuttgart,
- Hamburg Museum of Arts and Crafts,
- State Ethnographic Collections of Saxony,
- Ethnological collection of the Hanseatic city of Lubeck,
- in the collection of Honorary Senator M. Bumiller.
These are masterpieces of the Muslim Middle Ages, the period of the late medieval Uzbek khanates, products of Uzbek masters of the 20th century.
The publication is intended not only for representatives of academic and research circles, but also for a wide national and foreign audience, the younger generation interested in the rich cultural legacy of Uzbekistan. It should be emphasized that the project, which has no analogues in the world, is being implemented thanks to the personal attention of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the issues of careful preservation, enrichment and enhancement of the historical, cultural and intellectual legacy of the Uzbek people.
Readers will be able to expand their understanding of the rich culture and art of Uzbekistan by familiarizing themselves with a specially filmed documentary film, the disc with which is attached to the album book.
The multi-volume series Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections provides for the publication of other books-albums dedicated to unique examples of the historical and cultural legacy of Uzbekistan.
