The main goal of the Cultural Heritage Week in Tashkent is to strengthen international dialogue and mutual exchange of knowledge, approve new joint projects with foreign partners aimed at preserving, studying and popularizing the country's cultural legacy in accordance with the reforms initiated in the New Uzbekistan by the President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
From October 18 to 28, exhibitions will also be open as part of the week, which will be available to residents of Tashkent and guests of the capital. Unique exhibitions dedicated to the rich historical and cultural legacy of Uzbekistan will be presented at the State Museum of the History of the Timurids, the al-Biruni Institute of Oriental Studies, the Alisher Navoi National Library and the Tashkent Branch of the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan. Thematic forums will be held with the participation of representatives of the scientific world and officials. Each day of the Cultural Legacy Week will be dedicated to a particular historical era, from pre-Islamic times to the Third Renaissance in New Uzbekistan.
An important part of the Week will be the presentation of the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan mega-project, initiated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Participants of the Cultural Legacy Week will have a unique opportunity to visit the building of the Center of Islamic Civilization under construction, where presentations of unique scientific projects jointly with foreign partners will be held. Also, trial thematic exhibitions and expositions will be opened in the museum halls of the Center, which are only being equipped with the participation of members of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU).
In general, the Cultural Legacy Week is a logical continuation of the work begun within the framework of the 8th Congress in Samarkand, where a number of large projects were approved. Now the stage of their detailed development begins.
