During the symposium, "Islam — the Religion of Peace and Kindness," the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at studying, preserving, and popularizing the Islamic heritage, initiated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ShavkatMirziyoyev, will be discussed, including the megaproject "The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan."
Following the symposium, a presentation block will take place, during which ideas will be presented to enhance the exhibitions of the "Quran Hall" in the Museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization and the Innovative Museum of Imam Al-Bukhari.
Around 150 specialists will participate in the event, including the President of the Turkish Manuscripts Association, Joskun Yilmaz (Turkey), Executive Director of the Manara Center, Bahita Ahmed Al-Rumaiti (UAE), professor, Quranologist, Doctor of Sorbonne and the Higher School of Practical Studies in Paris, Chairman of the Institute of Academic Studies in Paris, and researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), Karim Ifrak (France), General Director of the Museum of Islamic Art and Al Midad on Heritage, Culture, and Art, Mamdouh Osman, Vice President for International Marketing and Business Development at Müller & Schindler, Alexander Wilhelm (Austria), Director of the Istanbul Park of Islamic Civilization and author of copies of the Istanbul Quran, Husain Kutlu (Turkey), Professor of Jurisprudence at the Faculty of Sharia at Al-Bayt University, Ahmad Yasin Abdel Rahman (Jordan), Head of the Laboratory of Scientific Restoration of Precious and Archaeological Metals, a highly qualified restorer, Doctor of Sciences at the State Hermitage, Igor Malkiel (Russia), and other world-renowned experts.
Among the projects presented by scholars will be proposals for publishing facsimile editions of Qurans preserved in collections around the world. Additionally, projects for creating a catalog of handwritten Qurans in private collections and a register of manuscripts located in the Center of Islamic Civilization will be showcased.
Moreover, the use of innovative technologies is planned: ideas for creating a unified platform for early manuscripts (Mushafs), digitizing and creating electronic versions of the UthmanMushaf and the Kattalangar Quran, as well as studying the text of the Quran using artificial intelligence to discover modern approaches to the Islamic spiritual heritage, will be discussed.
An expanded meeting of the Scientific Council with the participation of international experts will also take place, where ideas related to the innovative Museum of Imam Al-Bukhari, which is being built under the order of President of Uzbekistan ShavkatMirziyoyev, will be reviewed.
In addition, a special professional exhibition titled "Quran: Light of the World, Goodness, and Spiritual Awakening" will be held, where experts will be able to explore exhibits that will later adorn the museums of the Center of Islamic Civilization and the Museum of Imam Al-Bukhari.
