The International Congress participants congratulated a group of religious figures honored with high state awards

The VIII International Congress "The Heritage of Great Ancestors – The Foundation of the Third Renaissance" is being held from August 23rd to 26th at the Silk Road Center in Samarkand, organized jointly by the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Popularization of Cultural Legacy Uzbekistan (WOSCU).

The international congress is attended by nearly 300 renowned scholars from 35 countries, leading experts, university rectors, museum and library directors, representatives of international organizations, as well as prominent Uzbek scholars, academics, theologians, and religious figures.


Significantly, the foreign participants of the congress expressed their sincere delight at the recent awarding of a group of religious figures with state awards in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


In this regard, Elov Jobir Rustamovich, Chief Imam-Khatib of Bukhara Region, awarded the Order of Imam Bukhari, Usmanov Rahmatilla Akhmatovich, Chief Imam-Khatib of Qashqadarya Region,  Naimov Alisher Abdurashidovich, Deputy Chief Imam-Khatib of Fergana Region, as well as Habibullo Ismailovich Saliyev, a researcher at the Center for Islamic Civilization, were congratulated by the participants of the international congress, acknowledging that such events are a practical expression of the reforms taking place in our country.
