Eduard Rtveladze's family was solemnly awarded the Order of "Do'stlik"

The family of the renowned orientalist, archaeologist, and academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Eduard Vasilyevich Rtveladze, was solemnly awarded the Order of "Do'stlik" posthumously by decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nuriddin Ismoilov, the khokim of the Mirabad district Anvar Sayfutdinov, representatives of the scientific and cultural community, students and relatives of the academician.

 

Eduard Rtveladze is one of the leading researchers in the history and culture of Central Asia, making an invaluable contribution to the study of archaeology, oriental studies, and the Great Silk Road. For many years, he was the scientific director of the large-scale international project "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections," which has become one of the most important cultural and educational projects in the country. Under his leadership, dozens of fundamental publications were prepared to return to scientific circulation the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as unique artifacts and manuscripts stored in museums and private collections around the world.

 

Academician Rtveladze dedicated his life to the study of ancient civilizations, the history of statehood, art, and intercultural relations in Central Asia. His scientific works have received wide international recognition, and his work has played a significant role in promoting Uzbekistan's cultural heritage on a global scale.


During the meeting, the academician's relatives expressed a desire to install a memorial plaque on the scientist's house in the "Oq Uy" neighborhood. The Mirabad district administration announced that a memorial plaque will be installed in the coming days.
