The manuscript of Alisher Navoi's divan is housed in the Metropolitan Museum in New York

This unique work was copied in 1499–1500 in Herat by the calligrapher Sultan Ali Mashhadi. It holds historical significance as the last vivid example of creative collaboration between Navoi and Mashhadi.

The manuscript contains 863 poems, including 818 ghazals, 31 rubai, and other poetic forms. The manuscript was prepared in the final years of Navoi’s life, and it is possible that the poet himself participated in its compilation.

The manuscript preserved in the Metropolitan Museum is important not only for scholarly research but also for revealing new aspects of Navoi's creativity. Based on this manuscript, scholars conduct deeper analyses and draw conclusions about the poetry of the great poet.
